NAPLES, Fla. – Gentle’men Against Domestic Violence (GADV) are taking a stand against abuse and human trafficking in Collier County.

More than 50 men gathered to hang hundreds of door hangers in neighborhoods across Naples. The door hangers share information about what domestic violence looks like and what services are available at The Shelter for Abused Women & Children.

“To have this many people show up to go and walk door to door to hang these door hangers, to me, it’s really exciting,” said Senior Development Officer at The Shelter, Liz Rountree.

The overall goal of GADV because is to help men to help break the cycle of violence. Rountree said abusers typically learn their violent behavior from parents or peers. Now, these men are learning statistics and how they may do a part in making a difference.
