In 2023

there were 1,421 reported domestic violence offenses in Collier County. Those incidents included murder, manslaughter, forcible rape, forcible sodomy, forcible fondling, aggravated assault, aggravated stalking, simple assault, threat/intimidation and stalking. Thousands more offenses went unreported.

In response

During The Shelter’s FY 2020-2021, our 2 emergency shelters and nine transitional living cottages provided a total of 47,395 nights of shelter to survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking. Our crisis hot line received 1,798 calls for help, and 9,589 safety plans were created.
