The Shelter receives $10,000 grant from the Community Foundation
Naples, FL – (DATE) – The Shelter for Abused Women & Children is pleased to announce it has received a $10,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Collier County. These funds will support The Shelter’s general operating expenses.
“We are extremely grateful to the Community Foundation for this funding,” said Shelter CEO Linda Oberhaus. “Like other nonprofits, The Shelter’s budget has been hard hit by COVID-19 through the rescheduling of major fundraisers and the temporary closure of The Shelter Options Shoppe. This grant will help support general operations to ensure The Shelter’s services remain available at no cost to victims of domestic violence and human trafficking.”
The Community Foundation of Collier County awards annual grants through a competitive application and review process. Selected organizations receive grant dollars from the Changing Needs Fund. This Fund is made up of donors who believe in the Community Foundation’s ability to identify and address the community’s most current needs.
