2024 Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon, April 9, at Kensington
The Shelter for Abused Women & Children honored its dedicated volunteers, April 9, 2024, with a Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon at Kensington Country Club.
Jimany McLaughlin was honored as 2024 Volunteer of the Year. Jimany is a 28-year volunteer with The Shelter and during that time, she has given thousands of hours at The Shelter Options Shoppe. In the weeks following damage from Hurricane Ian, Jimany would stop by The Shelter Options Shoppe several times a week to see when she could start working again. Once volunteers were able come back, she was there to help get us up and running again. Jimany is an inspiration to us all.
