United Way donates to Shelter on Giving Tuesday

Steve Sanderson, CEO of the United Way of Collier County, presented a check for $2,000 to Shelter CEO Linda Oberhaus as part of a special Giving Tuesday promotion, Dec. 3, 2019.

The staff at United Way of Collier County spent the morning surprising 19 partner non-profits with a $2,000 donation.

“We wanted to try something different for Giving Tuesday this year,” Sanderson explained. “The holiday months are some of the hardest for non-profits and the people they serve, especially local ones that rely on local funding sources to maintain services. They are making Collier County better, and we love working with them.”
