Requirements &
Skills:
|
- High school degree or equivalent
- Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred
- 2 + years retail experience required
- POS computer terminal experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Extremely dependable
- Ability to work flexible schedule
- Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sensitivity to The Shelter’s clients and mission

Duties:
|
- Promote customer service by greeting and assisting customers
- Maintain an awareness of customers to increase service levels and focus on loss prevention
- Participate and facilitate merchandising of departments associated with clothing
- Participate in and facilitate merchandise replenishment
- Assist with general organization and housekeeping of the store
- Sort and price donations
- Operate cash register when required
- Answer incoming telephone calls
- Schedule / coordinate quality furniture donation pick ups
- Create and distribute, once approved, Options Newsgram to client email list
- Create and distribute, once approved, Options Volunteer Newsgram
- Take and update photos for display monitors on a weekly basis
- Visit competitive stores and evaluate style, quality and prices of competitive merchandise and overall shopping experience
- Transport deposits to the bank
- Open and close the store when required, including end of day reconciliations
- Other tasks as requested by Options General Manager and Customer Service Manager
