The Home that Love Built welcomes new family

The Home that Love Built (one of The Shelter’s 9 Transitional Living cottages) recently welcomed a new family to The Shelter’s two-year Transitional Living Program. These 3 bedroom/2 bath cottages provide survivors and their families with housing, community services, counseling, education and financial classes as they work towards self-sufficiency.

In preparation for each new family, members of The Shelter Guild transform the cottage with new household items and quality used furniture from The Shelter Options Shoppe. The family is able to take all of these items and furnishings with them at the conclusion of the program. Thank you to The Jingled Elves for their generous donations to this important Shelter Program.
