Esteban (Steve) Aguerrebere

The Shelter is pleased to welcome new Raising Gentle’men Advocate Esteban (Steve) Aguerrebere. Originally from Miami, Steve and his wife moved to Naples two years ago. He has a 21-year-old son, who currently serves in the U.S. Navy.

Steve has a Bachelor Degree in Communication Arts (which he graduated Cum Laude) from Florida International University, where he also earned a Master’s Degree in Adult Education and Human Resource Development.

He says his interest in accepting the position as Raising Gentle’men Advocate stemmed from his personal commitment to stopping and preventing domestic violence.

“I believe that by changing the mindset of boys and young men on gender stereotype and educating them on having healthy relationships while building their self-esteem, we can break the cycle and put an end to domestic violence,” he says.

Since taking on this position, Steve has established and maintains relationships with local high schools, middle schools, and community agencies. He is currently in the process of developing a mentoring program to empower youth boys to become productive members of society.

“I foresee that by moving forward in collaboration with partnering agencies, that we will prevail,” he says.
