Naples man in jail for kidnapping, raping woman
NAPLES, Fla. – A Naples man is in jail Friday night after being accused of kidnapping and raping a woman.
According to a Collier County arrest report, 52-year-old Tadeusz Strycharz broke into a woman’s home Sunday.
The woman, whose name is not on the report, told deputies she knew Strycharz, but she did not invite him over.
She says Strycharz told her he “wasn’t there to talk” then threw her on the ground and sat on top of her. She said she cried for help, he covered her mouth and she bit him.
Strycharz then poured tequila on her face and used zip ties to tie her up.
The woman told deputies Strycharz then strapped her in her car and drove to his house. She said that is where he handcuffed her to a bed and raped her.
After, she convinced Strycharz to take off the handcuffs so she could sleep in an another room, blaming his snoring.
The woman said Strycharz appeared to be acting normal later and asked her for a ride back to her house for his car. He left and she went to Project Help, an abuse shelter, for help.
Strycharz faces charges including kidnapping and sexual battery. His bond is $1.5 million.
