Cyndi Fields

CHIEF DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Cyndi Fields, Chief Development Officer (CDO) joined The Shelter for Abused Women & Children in 2000. In the 20 years Cyndi has been with The Shelter, she established and cultivated The Shelter’s Board of Trustees, the friend and fundraising arm of the organization. She managed two capital campaigns, established The Shelter’s endowment and planned giving programs, and formed a professional fundraising department.

As the Chief Development Officer, Cyndi focuses on making sure The Shelter’s annual fundraising program will continue to advance and support the increasing needs of the community.

Cyndi holds a CFRE (Certified Fundraising Executive) designation and CFRM (Certified Fundraising Management) certificate from the Indiana School of Philanthropy. In addition, she was chosen as the Outstanding Fundraising Professional in 2011, and also as a Women of Power in Collier County that same year.  A past President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Everglades Chapter, she is also a 2006 Leadership Collier graduate.

Prior to joining The Shelter, Cyndi worked in sales and banking. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Address and Communication Arts.
