CRA information
Per the Federal Reserve Bank, the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), enacted in 1977, requires the Federal Reserve and other federal banking regulators to encourage financial institutions to help meet the credit needs of the communities in which they do business, including low- and moderate-income (LMI) neighborhoods.
More information regarding CRA credits can be found at https://www.federalreserve.gov/consumerscommunities/cra_about.htm
Multiple financial institutions including PNC Bank, Truist Bank, Synovus Bank and Wintrust Bank have partnered with The Shelter’s Economic Justice Program to earn CRA credits, while providing support to victims of domestic violence and human trafficking in Collier County.
If your financial institution has CRA credit requirements to fulfil, The Shelter for Abused Women & Children may be an option for you. Please contact at The Shelter’s Economic Empowerment Advocate, Stephanie Ramos at sramos@naplesshelter.org or Maylen Garcia at mgarcia@naplesshelter.org
