Shelter hosts Celebration of You

On this Mother’s Day we honor the women we serve, who are not defined by their circumstances or the challenges they are confronting. They are mothers, daughters, sisters, students and colleagues with their own unique dreams and life goals, many of which had been left behind due to partner violence and abuse.

To celebrate all of these amazing women, The Shelter held Celebration of You, May 11, at both emergency shelters. Our thanks to Immokalee ITech and Paul Mitchell Salon for the hairstyling, makeup and nails, the Shelter Guild and Naples Woman’s Club for serving the amazing dinners. While the ladies enjoyed dinner, the children had their own party, where they created gifts for their moms. Thank you to everyone who made this wonderful evening of love possible! 🌸👩‍🦰
