The Shelter is proud to announce that Anabel Sathan has been named Employee of the Quarter.

Employees are selected for showing a positive attitude, going above and beyond the call of duty, overcoming personal or professional obstacles, being a team player, reliable, consistent and resourceful.

Here is an excerpt from her nomination form:

“Anabel always has the utmost patience, sensitivity and empathy when dealing with participants and her co-workers. She always shows a positive, solution focused attitude and is always willing to help her team whenever we need her expertise. She assists participants in navigating the complex legal system when they are at their most vulnerable. Anabel’s gentle nature allows her to support victims in facing their biggest fears in the courtroom. She assists in facilitating our relationship with other legal services and does so with ease and grace. Last year, in a participant’s time of need, Anabel stood on the side of a road for hours in the sun and rain to assist the participant with immigration. She also offered advocacy and translation to others that were in need, and even ensured that the victim’s children were safe that evening.”
