Bluebird Cottage welcomes new family
Bluebird Cottage, one of The Shelter’s nine Transitional Living Cottages, recently welcomed a new family. The goal of the Transitional Living program is to provide survivors of domestic violence and their families with two-year stays in an empowerment-based, safe and secure living environment. Decoration of the cottages is completed by The Shelter Guild Transitional Living Cottage Committee. Thank you, ladies, on another fine job!
This is a thank you note that was sent from the new family:
“The kids were super excited and thrilled. It made me cry to see their reaction last night. We are all truly blessed and thankful for everyone who helped to make this cottage so welcoming and safe for us! Thank you just isn’t enough. You all have changed my and my kids’ lives!!”
