Bank of America donates $10,000 to The Shelter
The Shelter for Abused Women & Children recently received a grant of $10,000 from the Bank of America Charitable Foundation to improve the quality of life for families and communities, preventing domestic violence, protecting adult and child victims and assisting them to prevail.
“We are grateful to Bank of America for this generous gift,” said Linda Oberhaus, Shelter CEO, “Community partners like Bank of America are vital to our mission to prevent, protect and prevail over domestic violence and human trafficking.”
“Domestic violence and human trafficking are serious problems in our community and throughout the world,” said Gerri Moll, Market President, Bank of America SWFL. “By supporting The Shelter, we are able to assist victims of violence and abuse in our community and improve the quality of their lives.”
The funding is part of the company’s philanthropic focus on three core issues vital to the economic health of communities: housing, jobs and hunger and represents an important component of Bank of America’s lending, investing and giving activities to help advance local economies.
