Alsco Naples branch office donates $2,000 to The Shelter
The Shelter is the grateful recipient of a $2,000 donation from the Alsco Naples office.
“You never know if some of our employees or future employees will have a need or have used their services,” says William Dandridge, general manager of the Naples Branch.
With a mission to prevent, protect and prevail over domestic violence and human trafficking through advocacy, empowerment and social change, The Shelter opened in 1986 in response to a notable increase in calls to the county’s rape crisis program and hotline.
Today, The Shelter a 60-bed emergency shelter and will soon open a second emergency shelter in Immokalee, FL. The Shelter also offers nine transitional living cottages and provides outreach services, school-based prevention programs and training/education classes for businesses and agencies throughout Collier County, FL. All services are provided free of charge.
“The Shelter can help turn around the lives of local families and help them to move forward with their lives, and that’s something worth supporting,” notes Dandridge.
