Gentle’men Against Domestic Violence®

Gentle’men Against Domestic Violence® (GADV) is an initiative of The Shelter that calls on men to stand as equal partners with women, to end domestic violence and human trafficking and create a community where everyone is valued and safe.

On January 14, 2008, GADV held its inaugural Men’s Event to benefit The Shelter. Since that time, GADV has raised more than $4 million to help support The Shelter’s two 60-bed emergency shelters and over 30 outreach programs that transform the lives of the families we serve.

GADV’s Founders include Ron McGinty, Bob Cahners, Jim Jessee, John Jordan and the late Graham Lount.

For more information on the GADV Men’s Event please call 239-775-3862.

Take A Stand will take place Tuesday, March 3, 2026. This all-men door hanger distribution event raises awareness for the services provided by The Shelter. This project is conducted in various neighborhoods throughout Collier County in partnership with the Collier County Sheriff’s Office and Naples Police Department.
