Off to St. Augustine, where we will be meeting the Mayor Nancy Shaver, Joyce Mahr of the Betty Griffin House (a shelter for abused women) and Caren Goldman of Compassionate St. Augustine.
Gordon had a flat tire near New Smyrna Beach – 20 minutes later, we are back on track, hoping to make St. Augustine by 5 p.m. Dinner with St. Augustine Mayor Nancy Shaver tonight!
We had some media opportunity to discuss our cause and The Ride, thanks to Jorge Rivera, of St. Augustine’s First Coast News. “The gentle voice of our community” joined Gentle’men Against Domestic Violence.
Thank you Mayor Nancy Shaver and guests for a great evening at The Columbia Restaurant! it was great to learn about historic St. Augustine, and discuss our GADV initiative. Fantastic Paella and fantastic people!! Ride on!
Although the honeymoon phase has ended, and the muscles are sore, we continue on!! 120 miles from Titusville to St. Augustine – Big winds again… knees hurt, legs hurt, “seats” hurt – however the support continues to find us, as much as we seek it out. please share our page on Facebook ridefortheshelter
