Gabby’s tragic 2021 murder during a cross-country trip captured national attention and sparked a renewed conversation around domestic violence and missing persons. In the aftermath of unimaginable grief, Nichole and Jim chose to turn their pain into purpose. They co-founded the Gabby Petito Foundation with Joseph and Tara Petito, dedicated to supporting organizations that assist survivors of domestic violence and families of missing persons.
Their courage in sharing Gabby’s story has already helped save lives and continues to shine a light into the darkest corners of abuse and silence.

The 27th Annual Mending Broken Hearts with Hope Luncheon will be held February 8, 2027, at the The Ritz-Carlton Tiburón. With an attendance of more than 800 men and women, the proceeds generated from this annual luncheon provide critical life-transforming programs and services including a 24-hour crisis line (239.775.1101), two emergency shelters with pet kennels, 9 Transitional Living cottages, safety planning, legal and outreach services as well as school-based prevention and community education programs.
The annual event also includes an amazing two-day Designer Boutique with vendors from across the country. The boutique is open to the public, January 7-8, 2027, at The Ritz-Carlton Tiburón.

This fabulous live auction item has been generously donated by luncheon chair Jackie Cronacher and her husband Roy Cronacher. Jackie has been committed to The Shelter for over two decades, she is a Shelter Trustee and has attended every Mending Broken Hearts luncheon since its inception, even chairing for the first time in 2002!

Wildlife abounds in the area, and you can explore the National Elk Refuge or book a snowmobile or snowcoach tour of Yellowstone.
