2023 Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon
The Shelter for Abused Women & Children honored its dedicated volunteers, March 28, with a Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon at Kensington Country Club.
Linda Meak was honored as 2023 Volunteer of the Year. Linda volunteers many hours with The Shelter, including working with participants in The Shelter’s human trafficking program. Linda joined The Shelter Guild in 2015 and chaired the Mending Broken Hearts with Hope Luncheon in 2018. She served as Guild President from 2021-2023, leading 200 members and 17 committees and activities. She is also a member of The Shelter’s Board of Trustees. Her smile and dedication to The Shelter’s mission are infectious as is her passion for helping others.
